1st Barns Green and Itchingfield Rainbows

We are an active unit for girls age 5-7.  We meet during term time on a Wednesday night 5-6.30pm at the village hall.

Rainbows is all about developing self-confidence, building friendships, learning new things and having fun. Girls get their hands dirty with arts and crafts, trying out cooking and playing games. Rainbows is all about learning by doing. The girls get the chance to be rewarded with various badges, and also join in with our Brownies on special badge nights.

New faces are always welcome and we recommend registering as soon as possible. Girls will be invited for a trial session so you and they have a chance to meet us all.

1st Barns Green and Itchingfield Guides

The Guide unit was re-opened in the village in Septembter2014 and meets on Wednesdays during term time 6.30pm-8pm.

Guides is our section for girls aged 10 to 14. Members take part in a wide range of exciting activities at their regular meetings, and at special events or holidays. Girls can get involved in anything from adventure sports to performing arts, travel and taking part in community action projects.

By becoming part of a worldwide community of girls who learn together and share skills and experiences, Guides have the chance to get out there and do something really different. Guides work together in small groups or 'Patrols' and, with the support of an adult Leader, choose and run some of the activities themselves using Go for It! resource packs.
